MORE LITIGATION. DEMURRERS FILED. BY CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Oct. 7, 10.5 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 6. As hearings on appeal against the Elk Hills oil lease decision commence at San Francisco shortly, Messrs Sinclair and Fall have filed demurrers m the Supreme Court of th© district or Columbia which, if sustained, will shirt the responsibility for the Teapot Dome leases from Mr Fall to Mi’ Denby, exSecretary of the Navy. _ ' The demurrers claim that Mr b all never had power to enact th© leases, whereas Mr Denby’s power was unlimited and unconditional. No legaL authority existed for competitive I®ll- - Tho indictments standing against Mr Fall take it for granted that he possessed power, which 1 the demurrers disclaim his having.
