SHEEP DOG TRIALS.

T AKAU-MATEMATEONGA CLUB

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A very representative general meetino- of the above club was he'd m the Mangamingi Hall on the 25th September. Mr L. Bunn (the late president) and Mr Fred Gower attended the meeting. Although both of these o-eritlemen recently left the district- and now reside in the Tututawa district, they are sti'l keenly interested m the welfare -of the club. Mr L. E. Jackson (the new president) occupied the chair, and conducted a very orderly meeting. Mr P. K. Brown, recently elected secretary on the 'resignation of Mr F. R. McWilliam, was also, present. Mr Les. Gower was elected assistant-secretary m place oi Mr Orsbourne, who has recently left the district and taken up his residence in the South Island. Mr Orshmmie was a. keen supporter of the dub. Opportunity was taken by the president on behalf of the club -to welcome to the district Mr Trembath, Mr Orsbourne’s successor. Mr Trembath, in replying, said lie won bo oidy too pleased to give the club any assistance possible. Business for the ensuing year was thoroughly discussed, and arrangements for the trials next year are well in hand. It was decided to hold the trials a fortnight later next year, as »a later date would be more convenient for outside competitors. The new dates will pr-obably fall on the 10th, lltli, and 12th of March, 1926. By kiiid permission of Messi-s Brown Bros., the trials will be held on the same grounds as last year.
