TWENTIETH ACCIDENT
ON FRENCH RAILWAYS. A YEAR’S RECORD COLLISION NEAR STRASSBOURG. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Oct. 5, 2.35 p.m. PARIS, Oct. 4. The twentieth serious accident on the French Railways this year occurred yesterday and resulted in two deaths. A goods train was being shunted near Sitriassbourg, when it came into collision with the Daris-Sltrassibourk express, portion of which was overturned. The operators of the goods train forgot that the new winter time was in force, otherwise they would have cleared the line. The driver was arrested. —Aits.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
