WHEAT GROWING.
AREA SOWN XX N.5.W.,. y BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, Oct. 3. The Government Statistician reports that the total area sown in wheat for the current season is 3,686,Q00 acres, of which 3,327,000 will be harvested and ‘ the remainder cut for hay. : The figures represent a decrease in the area sown by 262,000 acres, or 66 per cent, as compared with the previous year. The area to he harvested- is 216,000 acres less than in 1924. V
