REVIEWING ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATES. Whatever may be the nature of the estate that comes under the administration of the Public Trustee, every possible care is taken to conserve the interests of the persons concerned. A system of inspection lias been established to ensure what is practically a continuous audit of the administration of each estate. Matters to which special attion is devoted are: — (1) That vigorous measures are taken to get in or obtain control of every asset, and, where an asset is not to be realised, that it is made income producing at the earliest possible date. (2) That special consideration is given to the administration of business undertakings and assets of a. wasting or speculative or hazardous nature. (3) That the covenants and conditions attached to leases and mortgages are properly observed.
