A Press Association message from Dunedin reports the death of Thomas McGibbon, aged 86. He was formerly a memiber of the Legislative Council. On Saturday a motor car collided with' a gig on the Normanby Road near the racecourse. No one was injured, but the shafts of the gig were broken.
