TO-DAY’S PLAY. MORNING’S ROUND IN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. (BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sep. 28. There was perfect weather for the third day’s play of tho golf tournament. The first round of th© professional and amateur championships (3G holes) and a bogey handicap are being plaved. The course is playing well. The first 18 holes of the amateur championship resulted: E. A. Scott 3 up on E. M. MacFarlane.
