ANOTHER VENTURE. INSURANCE IN N.S.W. BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT,' Received Sept. 26, 10.55 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 26. The Parliamentary Labour caucus decided to pass legislation which will provide for the establishment of a Government insurance office, which will have power to carry on every class of insurance business, inclusive of life insurance. It- was explained to the caucus that the prime object of the office would be the cheapening of insurances for the community, and was not for the production of revenue. It was unofficially stated after the meeting that the Minister assured the members of the party that during the present Parliament the Government would pass a Bill toijjriakc insurance a State monopoly. The caucus also approved of a Bill to admit women to the Legislative Council.
