SAIASH BOOTLEGGING RING. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIUGT NEW YORK. Sept. 24. What is officially regarded as the largest bootleg ring in the country, whose operations under the guise of a real estate firm in the United States and Canada have been watched for five months by Federal agents, has been smashed. The ‘dry” agents hope to convict twenty-seven men of a conspiracy to violate the prohibition laws as the result of evidence gathered regarding a liquor transaction with habitues of New York cafes.
