Reading agriculturists, farmers and dairymen and representatives ol export associations and private exporters under the presidency of the Minister for Agriculture " discussed butter exports. 'Speakers emphasised the heavy increase in British butter imports from the Dominions, coupled with a systematic agitation organised in England for increasing the marketing of butter fioni the Dominions in future, which was going to intensify competition with Danish butter. The meeting concluded that every energy must he exerted to prevent justifiable complaints against Danish huttor. The Minister submitted draft legislation to deal with the problems, but the details were not divulged.
