During a severe westerly gale during the week-end, the framework of a new house at Mount Albert, Auckland, was levelled and some material was blown twenty op thirty yards away. Fences were wrecked, and window panes cracked by hail. The gale on the West Coast of Auckland was almost of hurricane force. It tilted the verandah roof of the signalman’s house at Manukau Heads, and carried it half a mile. CASH’S. WOVEN NAMES. Mothers!
