At the-quarterly session of the Central Executive of the Council of Primary Producers’ Union, the presidential address stated that the Dairy Export Control Board was now functioning. There were ample evidences of the influence of co-operatiion between the Australian Board and that of New Zealand on the markets of Britain. The board had already justified itself in regard to insurance and freight, showin <r the advantage of collective bargaining. The present oversea shipping hold-up was deplorable. Unless it speedily terminated it would have a most far-reaching- effect. Every week brought an increasing amount of butter and cheese for export. The holdup Q f the- usual regular .shipments must, of necessity have an unsettling effect, oil overseas markets.
