LEADER, O'F OPPOSITION AT WANGANUI. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WAINGANUI, Sep. 22. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Forbes, addressed a well attended meeting ill the Opera House last night, in reply to the recent speech by the Hon. Mr. McLeod, Minister for Lands. Mr. Foribes criticised the Reform Party and dealt severely with their action over the fusion negotiations. The speaker was given a, very attentive hearing and Avas accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. The meeting also voted confidence in Mr. Veitch as the member for the district.
