BOUTS IN THE DOMINION. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Sent. 21, A light-weight boxing match tonight between C. Purdy and R. Trowern resulted i u a victory for Purdy on points in a fifteen rounds contest WELLINGTON, Sept. 21. In au uninteresting boxing match to-night between Mat Gornik (11.12) and Merve Williams (11.7), the former retired at the beginning of the thirteenth round owing to an injured leg, which he twisted wheil knocked down for nine in the eleventh round. The bout was characterised by much infighting.
