HAWERA CONVENT RESULTS.
The following are the results of the music examination held at the Hawera Convent on September 17 and 18: Senior Division Ena Tapp 77, Eileen Keegan 75, Grace Nash 74, Joyce. Taylor 72. Intermediate Division Honours: Santina Harrington 84, Irene Robertson 84, Robert Taylor 80. Junior Division —Honours: Mavis Tapp 80, Leo McCarthy 80. Pass: Jean O’Brien 75, Maureen Keegan 73. Preparatory Honours: Leonard Kiley 82, Verna Campi 80. First Steps—Honours: David Good%vin 83, Dorothy Robertson 81, Phyllis Brown 80. All pupils .presented for examination obtained a. pass.

Mr Ed,ric Cundell, examiner for Trinity College, London, eoudxieted the practical examinations in pianoforte at the Manaia Convent with the following results: — Licentiate —Mary Hickland.
Intermediate —May Prout 74, Minnie McKay 67.. Junior—Betty McCollum 77, Beryl Eaves 74. Preparatory —Mary Kavanagh 80 (honours). ■First Steps —Eileen iSutton 82. (honours), Winnie Sutton 78, Joyce Nieolson 77. All pupils presented passed, two with honours.
