The animal was not seen in the den yesterday afternoon when the attendant visited it to feed her and her mate, but little, notice was taken of her non-appe.arance then, as it was ’ br ight she was keeping out of sight. Yesterday morning, however, it was (discovered that she had disappeared Cfrom her den. and a search, of the grounds was immediately organised, but without any success. Whether she has escaped from the precincts of the zoo or not is not known, but at a late hour last night fihe had not been located.
