SAMOA SHIPPING CO.

WINDING-UP ORDER, MADE,

BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRHIGT. Received Sep. 17, 12.10 p.m. SYDNEY, Sep. 17. The Equity Court lias granted a winding-up order against the Samoa Shipping and Trading Company, Limited. Previously the court had adjourned the ease for three months, in order to give time to see if the debenture holders could be paid off and arrangements made to carry on, but it was now stated that it had been found impossible to raise the necessary finances within, a reasonable time to enable the company to carry oil, and it seemed useless to ask for a further adjournment, as the best lands belonging to the company had been sold, therefore no further opposition was being offered to the granting of the petition.
