The Times’ Riga correspondent says that the warmth of the Soviet welcome seems to have intoxicated the" British Labour members of Parliament, who delivered extravagant speeches expressing astonishment and admiration for all aspects of Soviet life. Mr Wallhead told a Moscow gathering that he was filled with the profoundest wonder at the State’s care for its employees’ material and cultural welfare, but deplored the in Britain, where the standard of living was constantly declining. At every stage of the tour, which was officially conducted, Mr Wallhead was handed sheaves of statistics and other material- which he promises to embody in a Teport.—Times.
