PRESENTATIONS OF FBIIZES
GREATLY INjGREASED INTEREST.
A round of visits were paid on Tuesday oy ivtr. El, rv. Cameron, secretary or the South Taranaki Exiecutive of tiie New Zealand Farmers’ union, and Mr. Rod Csyme, Agricultural, Instructor to the Euuoatiou Hoard, to schools in North and Central Taranaki, in order to present prizes won at the competitions during the year.
They have visited Tolsaora, Okaiawa, Matapu, Finnerty Rload, Ngaere, Huirauga and Toko, and at each place tbey addressed the children and conferred with, the teachers. At each centre they were received with enthusiasm and hearty cheers given by the children, before they left. They both stressed the need of most active support- for the Clubs.
Mr. Gameron reports a greatly increased interest in the work of the Clubs and largely augmented entries for the coming year’s comipetiitionis. He expects that the entries will easily create a record in the history of the movement. Teachers, parents and pupils are all entering, with considerable interest, into the preparations for the work of the competitions.
