r REDUCED CHARGES ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATES. In accordance will its policy of fixing charges at the •lowest practicable scale, the Public Trust Office has made important reductions in the commission charged for the administration of estates. Commission oil the capital of estates when realised, is now charged (with minor exceptions) according to the following scale:— On the first £SOOO, 2-1 per cent. On the next £SOOO, 14 per cent. On the next £40,000, I per cent. On excess of £50,000, per cent. When assets are transferred in kind the charges are:— On the first £SOOO, 1J per cent. On the next £SOOO, 1 per cent. On all in excess of £IO,OOO, 4 per cent. The commission charged on rent or on interest on mortgages lias been reduced from 5 per cent to 24 per cent on amounts in excess of £SOO per annum. The Public Trustee has power to reduce the cnarge when such a course is warranted, and reductions are readily made in suitable cases. THE PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE. For information apply to C.
