WOMEN’S NATIONAL RESERVE.
CHARITY BALL. The balance-sheet in connection with the above function shows the handsome profit of £37. This money has been placed to _the credit of the W.N.R., and. will be, used for clothing or anything that may be necessary in cases of distress that may be brought to its notice. It was omitted in a former report of the hall to give the names, of the prizewinners. They were as follows: Special prize for “Lampshade,” Mrs Jasper (Okaiawa); lady’s first prize, “Rainbow,” Mrs Brooke (Okaiawa); gentleman’s first prize, “Toreador,” Mr FuL ford (Okaiawa) ; second prize, lady and gentleman, “Mr and; Mrs Golliwog,” Miss McPherson and Miss Warcup (Hawera). Great praise is due to these ladies and gentleman for the care and trouble taken to produce such beautiful costumes. ■ ■ m The thanks and gratitude, of ytery member of the, W.N.R. ai'e. exteiided t to all who gave their services so generously and to all the patrons of the ball.
