ESTATE OF ALLAN ROBERTSON. LATE OF MANAIA. • A meeting of creditors in the estate of Allan Robertson, farmer, _of Jaonui, late of Manaia, was called s ester-day at New Plymouth. The Deputy-Official Assignee (Mr. J. S. S. Medley) presided, but there were no creditors present. Bankrupt was represented by Mr. P. M. Brooker. Bankrupt's estate showed debts to the amount of £‘l2lß Is fid, and the only assets were chattels to the value of £23 os, leaving a deficiency of £1194 16s 6d. There were no secured creditors. In a written .statement, bankrupt said that lie and liis father took over a farm of 277 acres at. For four years he. worked on this farm under the Manaia Loan Co., who received all his cheques and allowed hiim £lO a month on which to live. In May. 19.23. hiis father, who had been unable to make a success of the farming, was sold u;p, and as bankrupt was extensively involved, be liad to walk off his farm with nothing.
