An imputation of discourtesy was made against the Prime Minister (the Hon. J. G. Coates) at a meeting of the Maryborough County Council (says a Press Association message from Blenheim). The chairman (Mr D. McOallum) described to the council the treatment accorded a recent deputation on the subject of public works grants. Councillor H. J. Stace referred to the attitude adopted by the Premier towards the railway deputation, when he said considerable indignation was aroused by Ids autocratic bearing, “It seems,” said Councillor Stace, that; we don’t even get common com;tesy from him. and surely we are entitled to that. It seems to me that some of his officers are taking their cue from him also, and they ireat us in the same inconsiderate manner.” -One speaker said the most desirable thing, would be a. separate Government for the South Island. The South might then receive some consideration. DON’T HOBBLE PAINFULLY ABOUT—TAKE RHEUMO. You creep to work like an old man, painfully stiff with rheumatism —there are days when business is l impossible. 'Massage and rubbing do not d’o you any good. External treatment cannot remove the cause of rheumatism the deadly uric acid that is increasingly and painfully hampering your days. Rheum o gets right into the blood stream, and seldom fails to. quickly neutralise the uric acid that causes rheumatism, lumbago, sciatica, gout, etc. It is easy and 1 pleasant to take. It is inexpensive. A 4/6 bottle will, in a week, make you feel a different man. Don’t suffer; get it to-day. 256
