THREE PRISONERS ESCAPE. ONE RECAPTURED. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Sep. 10. Gustav Henry Hansen, James Harold O’Brien and Ernest John Brasting were sentenced yesterday to 12, nine and six months’ imprisonment respectively on summary charges. They escaped from the lock-up at the Central Police Station about 10 o’clock last night, Hansen was recaptured on the waterfront at midnight, but the other two men are still at liberty. They cut the iron bar in the cell and passed through a hole about 18 inches by nine inches.
