SEAMEN ON STRIKE.

COOKS COMO OUT AT NEW PLYMOUTH-

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sep. 8. The cooks left-the Port Dunedin and Dorset last night,.and at a meeting of seamen this morning it, was decided that the .cooks should not return during the strike. It is understood that the Workers’ Hall in town will be fitted with beds for the strikers, and the cooks will serve food to - them there. Summonses were issued to-day against five cooks of the Port Dunedin, in addition to the 29 previously served on the seamen. A local official states that subscription lists have been issued by the Alliance of Labour throughout the country.
