GANDHI AND THE TOURISTS. CALCUTTA, Aug. 25. A black-sliirted Italian and a Czecho-Slovakian, who ar© touring the world on bicycles, have arrived in Calcutta, after having visited various provinces in India, where they met 20 Maharajahs. They have taken 10,000 photos. The tourists had an amusing experience when they tried to get Gandhi to give an interview on his day of silence.

The next stage of the tour will bo through Burma and China.
