(Some days ago a prisoner, an efficient miner,- was missed from his place in the workshops, and a search disclosed the man working at a tunnel from inside of a locker in the works branch. The earth removed from the tunnel was taken out in a bucket and covered with rubbish, so the vigilance of the warders was evaded.
Apparently the prisoners, who supposedly number only two Or three;, connected with the plot had no knowledge of the underground lay-out, as within a few feet the tunnel would Crave wenched a concrete foundation impossible for them to penetrate.
