The Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that in consequence oi a nmht attack by a footpad resulting in a shock to Andre Gautier, ot Albi, in idle Tarn department, he became onscssed with the idea that he was subject to Communist persecution. Yesterday iie became completely -insane. He barricaded himself in a house and fired at passers-by, killing two chi - Jren and seriously wounding two other neople. When the police arrived he fired at them. , . t He was eventually driven out Awtn ■Tas bombs. Thereafter there was a street battle, the madman slioting wi dp. U i;til a policeman with a borrowed rifle shot him dead.
