OBITUARY

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Deep regret was felt in Manaia when the sad news was received of the death of Mr F. Archer, formerly clerk of the Manaia Town Board and engineer of. the Waimate West County Council, which took place at the residence of his daughter (Mrs Parlane, Onehunga) on Saturday morning. Mr Archer was held in very high esteem by all who knew him, "find in both capacities as clerk and engineer of various local bodies in New Zealand he gave entire satisfaction. Air Archer left Manaia about 14 years ago. The deceased leaves a family of three sons—Arthur, Thomas and William; also three daughters —Mesdames D. Dick (Manaia). T. Parlane (Onehunga), and V. Law (Wellington). The citizens of Manaia and' district extend to deceased’s relatives their deepest sympathy.
