William Harold Oliver was found not guiltv on a charge, of manslaughter. [During a. League football match at Berri on Saturday (said a message from Adelaide dated June 24), a quarrel occurred., It was alleged that "William Harold Oliver, a prominent interstate player, struck John Purcell, who later died in hospital. At the inquest the. coroner found that death was due to meningitis induced by a blow struck by Oliver.]
