♦- WEATHER CONDITIONS. BAD AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 5. Weather conditions for the New Sooth Wales football match are verybad. HALF-TIME SCORE. (Special to the Star.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sep. 5. At half-time the Rugby score was: Taranaki-Wangamii 8 New Sotuh Wales 5 RANFURLY SHIELD MATCH. WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. The weather early this morning was fine and sunny, then rain fell. At 11.30 the sun was shinging again, but the ground is heavy, and must be slippery after the soaking overnight rain, militating against fast and accurate play for the Ranfurly Shield match. There is a large influx of visitors for the game, all trains for- the last two days bringing in full loads. Two special expresses from Napier last night brought ■in nine hundred and seven hundred people. After the match this evening two specials each of twenty carriages will leave for Hawke’s Bay.
