QUEENSLAND STRIKE.
- * ; TERMS ACCEPTED UNDER PROTEST. CABLE — PRESS ASSOCIATION -COPV RIGHT. BRISBANE, Sep. 4. A mass meeting of railway strikers at Rockhampton msolved deploring the attitude of the bulk of the railway workers in other centres in not .standing behind the northern and central demands for clerical workers. The resolution adds: —“Wo have to recognise/ however, that at thus stage no good can be served in carrying on the strike,’ and therefore accept the Government’s offer under strong. protest. ’’ The decisions of the Townsville and Maokay men are istill auvaited, but hope is expressed that they will follow Rockhampton's lead, and work may be resumed to-morrow.
