ENTERTAINMENTS.
OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT. ‘ ‘ENTICEMENT. ’ ’ ‘Enticement,” the First National attraction coming to the Opera House to-night, is a story of to-day. It is ultra-modern in tempa, settings, costumes and incidentals, and it is rich in its elaborate scenes and pictorial splendours. Produced by the Thomas H. Ince Corporation, it was directed by George Archainbaud from the novel by Clive Arden. An excellent supporting programme will be presented. THE GRAND, TO-NIGHT. JACK HOXIE. An exciting but logical story makes ‘‘The Sign of the Cactus,” Blue Streak Western, with Jack Hoxie as the star, one of the best pictures seen in a long time. ‘‘The Sign of the Cactus” was shown for the first time ini the Grand Theatre last evening, and tells of the struggle of ranchers to escape ruin threatened them by reason of the grasping methods of a big irrigation company. The programme will be repeated this evening. SKATING. The patronage of the skating rink is still on the increase. Instruction given free to beginners. Keen interest is being taken in the forthcoming hockey tournament. The matches will be advertised well in advance. Spectators are dmitted to all sessions for 6d.
