GOVERNMENT VALUATION.
ALLEGED TO BE MISLEADING. ’ A BOOM SEQUEL. FROM OUR PARLIAMENTARY REPORTER. WELLINGTON, Sep, 4. On the ground that she has incurred serious . loss through ail alleged misleading Government valuation, Mrs.Melrient T. Moulin has petitioned'the House through Mr.. Munro, asking for relief. Petitioner Is former husband died land the administrator of her husband’s estate invested £4500 in a farm at Te Kuiitl. There avss great difficulty in getting, intent from the mortgagor, who eventually walked off. .Thus the petitioner is . deprived of the main support 'for herself .and itwo young children. A Government/. valuation estimated in 1919 that this fa.rjm. was worth for loan purposes £7313, nearly double a Government'valuation of 1916. Petitioner had, taken action against the trustee for alleged improper inA-eist-ment of her funds, but the Court decided that the defendant avos entitled to rely oh the Government valuation. Petitioner suggests .that he Government should take over'the’term, which is istill unoccupied.’ ‘ ;
