Over one hundred representatives of the Dominions and colonies, including East Africa- and Rhodesia, visited Hull at the invitation of the Lord Mayor and Corporation, in connection with the authorities’ campaign to develop the Empire trade of the port. After an inspection of the extensive docks, the party was entertained at. dinner at the new 'Guild Hall. Only Empire’ produced goods were served. The Australian High Commissioner, Sir Joseph. Cook, responded to the toast of the Empire. He referred to the Empire’s problems, particularly that of migration. . . The New Zealand High Commissioner. Sir Javnes Allen, proposed the toast of the lord Mayor.—Reuter.
