GRAND CHORAL PRODUCTION
TO-MORROW AT OPER A HOUSE.
T]i© final rehearsal of the fine cantata, “Hiawatha’s Wedding- Feast,” the choral work to be given tomorrow in the Opera House under the auspices of the Hawera Male Choir, was very satisfactory, and serves to show that the concert wiil be one of the best yet staged by the choir. The cltoitisc.s <iii cl orchestral work, and also the solos sung by Mr. Papnkakurn, all impressed everyone present. The conductor was more than satisfied. The choir numbers seventy-five, and in addition there is a strong and wellbalanced orchestra. A number of miscellaneous items will form, the first part of the evening’s performance. These include vocal solos by Mrs. M. J. Goodson and Mr. P’apakakura, recitation by Miss 0. Laidlaw, orchestral overture, madrigals and part songs by the combined choir and by a male quartette It will thus he seen that there will be selections to suit all tastes.
