MANY HURT BY MOTOR-CARS
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Aug. 31, 12.15 p.m. . SYDNEY, Aug. 31. An unusually large number of accidents during the week-end. resulted m seven / persons being admitted to hospital, lour of whom have died. A boy was run over by a train while attempting to cross the line. A young woman was knocked down by a motorcar, the driver of which was arrested and charged with manslaughter. A boy jumped off a tramcar in front or a motor-car, which knocked him down, and a child was accidentally shot by its father, who was repairing a revolver. Five persons were hurt by being run down by motor-cars, a . n s* two as a result of collisions with motors.
