TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the 'Taranaki Land Board was held at New Plymouth last week, when there was pie 4 sent: Messrs. J. Cook (chairman), S. Blake, S. J. Ryan, N. Rl. Ole land, and J. W. H. Martin. Matters affecting South Taranaki were dealt with as under: —■ Section 48, Ohawe ffbwn Belt, Bessie Shaw; sections 5 and 6, block 27_, town of Patea, J. N. Clarkson (temporary lease). —Approved. The application by S. L. Goodin for section 12, (block 13, Cape, was held over. Applications to transfer were approved: —• iSection 3, block 6, Mahoe, M. A. Bray to W. J, Rite; tsolb-tseetioins 2 and 3 of section 22, block 15, Kaupokonui; the Public Trustee in the estate of Louisa Jolt (deceased) to H. W. Knight The following applications to transfer were (adjourned : - Section 8, Mock 13, Oh ora, C. G. Loveday to E. W. . R.uddick; section 89, block 10, Ngaire, W. Pollard to J‘. A. Cocker. Proposals for expediture of thirds by the Eltham and Hawera County Counciilis were approved. Forty-one applications! under the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement 'Acts were dealt with, and of these -six applications to transfer were recommended, one deferred and two refused; five •applications tor isiaokj (were remo-in-mended and four refused.
