The reply was that there was no nemsisiity for the Commonwealth Ministry to deport certain persons from Australia,. The Commonwealth, had means for: carrying out the object desired, and New South Wales refused to be embroiled in these proceedings, ns at considered the Commonwealth wtais trying to involve New South, AVale-s for pplitklal purposes. The Tirades Hall Council, after considering the ,strike, adopted the report Olf the disputes committee recommending that all jniter-Sitate labour ceunciilis, -andi Labour Governments co-operate to prevent the deportation of any citizen. The report stated that Mr. Bruce bad been informed there wlais no crisis warranting deportation, and. such- a course would precipitate an industrial crisis.
