SHEEP FARMERS.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. At the fifteenth annua) meeting of the Sheen \Farmers’ and Farmers’ Federation, Mr. H, D. Acland presided. It elected the following officers: President, Mr. t-Acland (Canterbury); vice-president, \V. G. Sherratt , (Gisborne); lion, treasurer, El. Hay (Canterbury); auditor, A. A. ,McKellar. The personnel of th e General Council was not changed. >■ It was decided to request .the. Wool Committee to include Gisborne in the roster of wool sales. It * was-pointed out that h large quantity of wool was produced in the Gisborne district which, cost ten shillings per bale , at present to transport it to Napier, which was now the nearest sale centre.
