Messrs Dalgetv and Co., Ltd., .report that at yesterday’s Wanganui crutchin <t sale an offering of 1000 bales was submitted, the quality generally being inferior to medium, condition heavy, with seed much in evidence. A few good lots were offered, and these sold well, rates being on a par with those ruling at Napier and Wellington. Best lots made, from 84d to Old. medium parcels bringing from 6d to 73d. Japanese and Australian buyers operated freely, and took practically all the good lines. Inferior and low grade lots sold remarkably well, and were eomparativelv dearer than the good lines, these being mainly purchased by local scourers. HIDES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports the following range of prices at its last hide sale in AVellington.
