AIRCRAFT DESIGN.

A GERMAN TYPE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Aug. 26, 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 25. A Junker’s aeroplane, which was forced to land at Amsterdam owing to bad weather last night, is an interest, ing example of German design. The engines develop 600 horse-power and the machine carries nine passengers, in addition to idiot and mechanic. The cabin is panelled with mahogany and is luxuriously appointed. It has a single wing of enormous strength, on which several people could stand simultaneously. The machine is bringing another load of bonds to-morrow. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn
