CONDUCTOR GOES TO HIS DEATH. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. ROME, Aug. 21. A hair-raising experience befell passengers on a train on the Bovona- incline, at the top of which the brakes failed. The train ran hack, and gathered a speed of 90 miles an hour. All the passeugers jumped clear, but the conductor, who stuck to his post, was killed when the train plunged into a ravine.—A. and N.Z.
