Writing from Honolulu to Hawera, Mr J. E. Campbell states that he and Mrs Campbell are enjoying their stay very much, but they would appreciate a breeze off Mt. Egmont occasionally. New Zealand is still the place for him. Unless plans are changed Mr Campbell expects to return to New Zealand by the middle of September. Mr J. R. Corrigan, M.P., speaking at the Nationalist meeting in Patea last night, said that the party now ledi by Mr G. W. Forbes had taken the name “Nationalist Party” only after the Prime Minister (Hon. J. G. Coates) had definitely refused to form a National Party representative of the two larger parties. Mr Coates had stated that he would go to the country v ith the Reform Party. Mr F. Jackson, carrier, of Nolantown, was awakened last night by neighbours, who informed him that his house was on fire. He was able to extinguish the fire, but it was a narrow escape. The outbreak was apparently due to some defect in the fireplace and washhouse. A cold in the head can he quickly relieved by “Na^ol. ” No cold is Nazol-proof; 60 doses; 1/6. —Advt.
