MOROCCAN ADVENTURE
RESPONSIBILITY DENIED
(Received Aug. 19, 12.55 p.m.) PARIS, Aug. 18. The Socialist Party’s congress declined responsibility for the Moroccan adventure, and demanded peace as early as possible, on the basis of the recognition of the independence of the Riff and the rectification of the Riff frontiers in the latter’s favour. The congress, while rejecting credits for the Moroccan campaign, opposes the evacuation of Morocco.—Reuter.
