The Hawera land Carnival committee met again last evening, when it was decided that- the carnival be run on a financial ba.su> of two-Ibirths to the Hawera citizen*-’ Band, and onethird to the taweia Pipe Band, up to amount of £I2OO. 1 . Representatives of the Scottish Society •attempt the meeting, and in order to allw. them to vote on the question of .whether or not a baby queen carnval should be run in preference to *>, queen carnival, the original inotiotf stipulating a queen carnival was rescinded: The decision of the votinj. however, again favoured a queen canival. A comiittee consisting of Messrs.
