VISIT TO WEMBLEY.

AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND COURTS. THEIR! MAJESTIES’ INSPECTION. INTERESTED IN THE DISPLAYS. BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT. Received Aug. 13, 1. 15 p.m. LONDON. Aug. 12. Their Majesties spent three-quarters of an hour in the Australian pavilion, this being their first real visit this year. The King describes Australia's new Wembley display as a wonderful effort. After listening to the loud speakers’ exposition of Australian resources and the attractions for migrants. his Majesty laughingly said, ‘that’s the right kind of stuff to give them. It’s all important that the people should be taught to trade Imperially. Tiie pavilion authorities presented th<3 Queen with a jewel box made of Australian wood. The King was similarly presented with a travelling rug made of Australian wool, with a bridge set attachment in a wooden case. The Queen was especially interested in baking and the demonstrations of the use of Australian flour. Their Majesties were impressed with the model of Sydney Harbour, which recalled their visit in 1901. The King observed that it was an exceptionally fine representation. Their Majesties then went on to the New Zealand display, the King remarking that the pavilion had been greatly improved in comparison with last year. He complimented the authorities upon having so successfully developed an artistic display. The King was particularly interested in the wool exhibits, commenting on the friendly rivalry be tween Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in the World’s wool supply. Thq party also devoted a considerable time to the inspection of the butter and cheese and frozen meat exhibit- The Queen was most impressed by the depiction of Rotorua, of which she had distinct recollections.
