A DEADLOCK.
IN TEXTILE DISPUTE. NO AGREEMENT OVER WAGES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT LONDON, August 11. After sitting for 35 hours, 27 were consecutive, the conference of the industrial council of the wool and textile trade reached a deadlock, consequently the strike will continue. All points" were agreed upon except the rat© of wages at which the operative shall resume work, pending a decision of the Court of Inquiry into the conditions of the industry. Operatives refused the employers’ proposal to resume at a five per centum reduction. —Reuter.
