DAIRY PRODUCE.
OUTPUT FROM MERUMERE DISTRICT. REMARKABLE GROWTH. Sneaking at Ohangai at are well social last night, Mr I). J. Williams gave some very striking figures showing the wonderful development in dairying matters since he went out there. In November, 1895, the output for the district was £lB3, and in 1924 it had grown to £3510. The total ,>ay-out for the year was in 1895 £872. an average of £62 10s per supplier, while to-dav for the district’s two factories it had expanded to £40,221 7s Bd, and 1 in addition there was all the separated cream. Wages and salaries had increased from £lO9 to £1932. The pay-out liad increased • 500 per cent. It was a remarkable record of progress and development.
