Mr Dingwall will he actingsupervisor until the arrival of Mr Jarvie, Mr Elliott’s successor. Consequent- on tTte resignation of the Deputy-Mayor (Or. C. \Y. Poynton) on account of Illness, Or. O. I*. Brown has been elected Deputy-Mayor of Wanganui.

Mr. IV. A. Waiters, engineer to the Manawutu-Oroua Electric Power Board, who was injured in a motoring accident t-li© other day, is continuing to make good progress,- hut a week or two will in all probability elapse before he lias sufficiently recovered to permit of his being discharged from hospital.
